It’s been a sweet three years for New York artist Joeski outta Queens, New York, with a hot streak of music making its way to labels like Dirtybird, Crosstown Rebels and Defected. Joeski returns to Pokerflat following his 2017 Lessons In Dub EP, which he continues here via the dub techno tipped “Drift Within”. A super stripped-back and minimal vocal track to offset the alien frequencies and deep vibes of bassline hit “Wordplay”, popping with percussion, skatty vocals to boot, and techy house rhythms.
