Dorian Chavez rolls out his debut release for Pour Vous Records this autumn, with two excellent house cuts on the ‘Araucaria’ EP. The Chilean dj and producer has been crafting quality productions for labels like 8bit, Viva Music, Cocolino and others before. Dorian has also made a successful career in Latin America, playing at the most important clubs and festivals in countries such as Mexico, Venezuela, Brazil and Argentina. His long stand commitment with house music has seen him play in legendary festivals such as the first Creamfields Chile, the Southamerican Music Conference in Buenos Aires, Argentina and the Chilean versions of Love Parade.
‘Araucaria’ opens the EP and is built around a steady and swinging groove, nice chords and pads with rollin’ percussion, making it’s presence felt, but leaving space to let the track breath. ‘San Pedro’ continues the Chilean producer’s love of dubwise influences with a minimal beat work out and vocal snips. A cracking debut production from Chavez, and a well-rounded release for Pour Vous.
