Debuting on NoExcuse Records this month are Shosho and Peppou with their “Let’s Dance” EP. The Bulgarians are paving their tracks within the industry, with their driven and industrial tech-house and techno productions. Their sound is showcased perfectly in this EP with two original tracks, and a remix from DJ Dep.
“Let’s Dance” kicks off a with a pulsating bass groove that sets the groundwork for the track. A stripped back and energetic techno beat develops throughout, with a range of synth and vocal elements progressively building atop. This minimal techno roller is best set in warm up and after hour sets. DJ Dep offers an upbeat, percussive tech-house rendition of the original, gearing it straight for the peak hours.
The second original in the EP is “Blister”, an upbeat minimal techno roller. Aggressive hats and warm bass notes flow throughout, with ominous acid-inspired synths and effects building mountains of tension in the breakdowns. This late night weapon is sure to the crowd on a serious trip.
