Our good friends Artslaves, aka Alessandro Rondinone and Domenico Gei, are a Neapolitan production duo and the owners of Moan Recordings. Their first release on Deeperfect was only in June 2017, so we are very excited to have them back on the label in such a short space of time. Here we have a powerful two tracker consisting of a single and remix, and with tracks this good, there is no need for more. Blackbird is a bouncy slab of minimal tech house that is perfectly executed by the hands of Artslaves. The groove is stripped back and hypnotising and uses subtle changes to create a constant feel of evolution and a steady rise of tension. Soon, a soulful vocal and distorted organ chords enter the stage to deliver a full ascension of power and emotion to the track. Up next is label boss, Stefano Noferini, with his expert interpretation. Stefano takes us on a more peak time and pushing journey with his intense, pumping rendition of Blackbird. The drums are a fast paced, syncopated affair complimented with a darker, brooding edge to the atmospheric and melodic elements of the composition. Stefano brings the memorable vibe of the original to his remix but manages to elevate the tension and energy in a way very few producers can.
