Storied deep house producer Nick Beringer, arguably best known for fine releases on Wax Classic, Skylax and Made Fresh Daily, has decided to launch his own label. For the first release on Rubisco, he’s served up a trio of his own melodious, funk-fuelled deep house treats. A-side “Track 1” is particularly potent, with Beringer peppering a bumping, bass-heavy drum machine groove with liquid chords, swirling atmospherics, and jaunty synth stabs. On the flip, “Track 2” is a deliciously low-slung, vintage tech-house box jam, while closer “Track 3” sees him gently swim into deeper waters via dreamy chords and a hypnotic house groove.
