Dark and brooding with taste bud-tingling acidity, ‘Hook Up’ is the DFTD debut from German duo The Glitz. Accompanied by a stunning video that brings to life the track’s otherworldly bleeps and squelches, ‘Hook Up’ is a meaty club record executed with finesse. Driven by a relentless kick drum, with clashing harmonies creating tension and heavily-filtered vocals from Fadila that sustain the track’s unnatural atmosphere, The Glitz demonstrate a distinct and intelligent forward-thinking sound. The video, shot within a deserted landscape and featuring one lone dancer, draws out the futuristic beauty of the track, making this DFTD release the full package.
