Trapped Thoughts exudes emotion and depth from the onset. With the use of inaudible speaking and the plucky synth stabs giving way to the pulsating bass line that stays with you throughout this beautifully emotive and uplifting journey. As the track unfolds it makes way for a haunting vocal propped up by the snappy groove before diving in to a thought provoking build up and the hands in the air collision of synths and bass line to end. Memoir is instantly hypnotic thanks to the soft percussion padded with a floating synth. The beauty of the track is coupled with a grumbling sub that drags you in following the welcomed return of more distant whispers in an intense yet organic breakdown. A quick snap back to earth thanks to the resonating claps and the track flows out just as effortlessly as it came to be. To round of the EP, Jey Kurmis delivers a signature grubby bass edit of Trapped Thoughts infused with animated elements and vibrancy throughout. A solid foot stomping remix with all the drive and quirk expected from Jey Kurmis.
